It's no secret that our students at Westmoreland Middle School hold many talents. Some students can add "cross stitch expert" to their list of talents after spending the year in Cross Stitch Club. Under Miss. T's guidance, our students spent afternoons, and even a Saturday, at school working on some incredible pieces (check them out below). We look forward to seeing their work progress next year, too!
The first thing guests at Westmoreland Middle School will notice are newly constructed, beautiful flower boxes. This is all thanks to the tremendous vision and efforts of Colin Gendron, Mikayla Hurley, John Clark and Amanda Miller. With the support of Mrs. Waterman, Mrs. Usyk, and Mr. LaLonde, students designed, measured, built, and painted the boxes before choosing flowers. They traveled to Lowes and North Star to purchase all of the necessary supplies, and were able to teach other students about the importance of making our building a better place to learn.
Next time that you're in the neighborhood, stop by and check out their excellent craftsmanship. Great work!
Congratulations to each of the students who were awarded with the, "Student of the Month" certificate last week for May. We are proud to have such a wonderful community here at Westmoreland Middle School, and are thrilled to recognize each of these students. We also want to recognize those students who were awarded with, "Principal's Awards" for their outstanding contribution of our learning community. This month's students include:
Students of the Month
*The above students were recognized for their tremendous efforts in creating flower boxes for the Middle School entry sidewalk. Please check out the post with their pictures!
Check out the pictures below from Mr. Cucci's 5th and 6th grade Running Club! Over 50 runners came together each week to hit the pavement (and trails) together. A huge thank you to the Utica Roadrunners for outfitting the group with their own t-shirts too, which they proudly wear around the school.
