Ms. Kim Sheets, Middle School Long Term Substitute for Gerald Benton who is serving in the Air National Guard.
I am so excited to have the chance to work here at Westmoreland. The students, faculty and community are all so welcoming. I received my Bachelor's degree from SUNY New Paltz in Social Studies education grades 7-12 and am currently pursuing my Master's degree from SUNY Cortland in Literacy Education grades 5-12.
In my free time I enjoy reading, as well as hiking. I am looking forward to the rest of the school year here at Westmoreland.
Mr. Shaun Hadity, Physical Education Student Teacher
Hello, my name is Shaun Hadity and I am Mr. Cucci’s Student Teacher at Westmoreland Middle School. I am a Senior at SUNY Cortland who is studying to become a Physical Education teacher and plan on graduating in May of this year. After I graduate I plan on going back to school to pursue a degree in Health Education. I graduated from New Hartford High School in 2010 where I participated in Varsity soccer and baseball and then went on to Herkimer County Community College where I received my Associates Degree. While at Herkimer, I played soccer for two years, winning one National Championship and losing in the finals of the other. I also kept stats for the HCCC baseball team during my time there.
When I found out I was placed at Westmoreland Middle School, I was very excited and could not wait to start. I started on January 22 and already it has been an amazing experience for me, under the guidance of Mr. Cucci, meeting all of the faculty and interacting with the students every day. I look forward to continuing my teaching here and learning as much from the teachers and students, as they learn from me. My hobbies include: playing and watching sports, coaching, spending time with my friends and family and teaching students of all ages in Physical Education. I hope to educate the students here in lifetime activities, becoming healthier individuals and also becoming better people.
